The Collective Beat is more than just a marketplace—it’s a celebration of creativity, connection, and community spirit on the NSW South Coast. Established in Kiama in 2015, The Collective Beat began with a simple idea: bring together small local businesses and talented makers under one welcoming roof. Over time, that spark grew into a region-wide movement, inspiring both locals and visitors to support something truly unique.
After planting our roots in Kiama, we quickly realized there was a growing appetite for genuine, hand-crafted goods and a sense of community that traditional retail just couldn’t offer. In 2016, we expanded into a larger space on Terralong Street, laying the groundwork for a vibrant hub where vendors; and their stories could shine. By 2018, the Collective Beat family reached Gerringong, offering even more space for creativity to flourish and new artisans to find their audience.
Driven by a passion to connect communities and nurture local enterprises, we opened our Huskisson location in 2020, bringing “locals supporting locals” to the heart of the Jervis Bay area. In 2024, we expanded into Berry, further weaving our marketplace into the fabric of the South Coast.
Our Story
Today, with thriving stores in Kiama, Gerringong, Huskisson, and Berry, The Collective Beat is proud to house over 80 Australian Small creative businesses—each carefully selected for quality, originality, and heart. From handmade homewares and artisan fashion to fine art, jewelry, and delightful gifts, every item tells a story and reflects the talent of the people who make it.
But we’re so much more than the products on our shelves. Our team believes in supporting dreams, sharing knowledge, and building a nurturing environment for small business owners to succeed. Through workshops, mentoring, and community events, we champion growth and inspire connection—between vendors, customers, and our wider network.
At The Collective Beat, you’re not just shopping—you’re becoming part of a living community. We invite you to explore, discover, and support the makers who make our region special.
Welcome to a marketplace built on creativity, connection, and the beat of the local heart.
